The Baseball Tomorrow Fund provides funds to underwrite youth baseball and softball programs that serve a demonstrated need, increase number of youth participating, improve program quality, create new ways of improving programs, or provide opportunities for minorities and women. The National Geographic Society Grosvenor Grant Program supports programs that engage K-12 students in the exploration of geography. The average grant size is $50,000-$70,000. Applicants to this program also may apply for Teacher Grants of up to $5,000 to assist teachers with implementation. Deadline is September 29. Toshiba America Science and Math Grants award $1,000 to support projects that improve science and math teaching. Funds may be used only for the purchase of hands-on materials for students. Deadline is October 1. See http://www.toshiba.com/taf/apply.html
American Honda Foundation offers grants of up to $100,000 to support projects related to math, science, the environment or technology. They also support youth job training programs. National Gardening Association and The Home Depot: NGA will award 100 Youth Garden Grants to schools and community organizations with child-centered, outdoor garden programs. Each grant winner will receive a $500 gift card from The Home Depot for the purchase of gardening materials and supplies specific to the needs of their program. Next deadline March 1, 2010. http://www.kidsgardening.com/grants.asp

Prizes for Excellence in International Education are $25,000 prizes awarded by Goldman Sachs to schools that engage all or most of their students in learning about other world regions, cultures and languages.
