The Castro Valley Educational Foundation (CVEF) needs your support in promoting excellence in Castro Valley public schools. We value and appreciate your gift of time and/or money. By giving to the CVEF you are demonstrating your faith and concern for youth of our community. Your donations and the proceeds received from fundraising activities go directly to benefit the students of Castro Valley public schools. Please make checks payable to: Castro Valley Educational Foundation and mail to the address shown on the left.

Thanks to the generous support from the Parents, Guardians, Business and Residents of Castro Valley, the Castro Valley Educational Foundation continues to assist the teachers in making the learning experience for our children more enjoyable and exciting.

Since its founding the Castro Valley Educational Foundation has provided over $250,000 to Castro Valley schools. In 2009-2010 we contributed $36,842 in mini-grants and other donations.

Congratulations Ms. Y from Creekside! Your DonorsChoose project "Bringing Civil Rights to the Classroom" was selected for a Double your Impact donation by KnowHow2Go.org. The donation totaled $197.29 and completed funding the project for you.

Ms. Y's other project " Make a Joyful Noise! Music Supplies" was completed through a donation by a generous couple from Texas.You are a superstar who knows how to take advantage of an opportunity! WAY TO GO!

Dynamic Dinner

Mark your calendar with these important dates.

Regular meetings of the Castro Valley Educational Foundation are held at 7pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted) at the School District Office, 4400 Alma Avenue in Castro Valley. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

DonorsChoose is partnering with Chevron to help Fuel our Schools in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Details and requirements will be available on August 1st.

Voting Starts for the Limeade for Learning

DonorsChoose and Sonic have partnered to help fund projects. From August 30 through September 30, anyone can visit LimeadesForLearning.com to vote for their favorite classroom project. SONIC will fund approximately $100,000 worth of projects every Friday during the five-week campaign – those with the most votes will be funded first!

Dynamic Dinner - Save the Date

The Dynamic Dinner is our annual fall fundraiser to support the Mini-Grants. All the profits from this funraiser go right back to our teachers and students in the form of Mini-Grants. A group of outstanding VIP Waiters make this all possible.

The Castro Valley Educational Foundation would like to host more events throughout the year but we need volunteer participation to make it possible. Please attend our monthly meetings and bring your thoughts and ideas to the table.
